Was started in December of 2008 when I was trying to purchase some images from a Photographer online and I found it was not only a very poor site but it was hard to navigate and purchase images.

Papshots is derived from the word Paparazzi (singular: Paparazzo) is a term used to refer to photojournalists who specialize in candid, photographs of celebrities, politicians, and other prominent people. The word "paparazzi" is an eponym originating in the 1960 film La dolce vita directed by Federico Fellini. One of the characters in the film is a news photographer named Paparazzo (played by Walter Santesso).

I have a passion for photography and a good business head. So I decided to build a business that's free to any budding or professional photographer that doesn't have the time, expertise or money to build a fully functional image selling site of their own.

Today's digital media offers us powerful and seemingly endless ways to create, communicate and connect. While quick online access to images, footage and music may be second nature to us now, just a decade ago it was almost unimaginable.
